Reported Flock ALPR cameras per 10,000 residents, by city/CDP and by county. Camera coordinates were counted inside Census TIGER 2025 boundaries. Population is joined by geographic code.
Coverage is uneven
These are reported cameras, not official totals. A low rate can mean few cameras or few reporters. Both Community Confirmed and 3rd Party / Unconfirmed records are counted. This snapshot does not change the map.
Selection bias: Selection bias: areas with more active community reporters will appear to have higher camera density. A place with zero reported cameras may have many cameras that have not yet been submitted. The rankings reflect the state of this dataset, not a complete census of deployed hardware.
Methodology and exclusions
Snapshot: 26 October 2026, 136,122 records. Camera coordinates were counted inside Census TIGER 2025 boundaries, not grouped by city-name labels. Population is joined by geographic code. 109,585 points fall in place polygons; a full recheck found no point in multiple polygons. 8,935 places have qualified population matches. County counts cover 136,119 records; three water-boundary points are unassigned. Counties overlap cities and must not be added to them.
Incorporated places use July 2025 estimates. CDPs use ACS 2020–2024 five-year estimates, with published population margins of error. These vintages are not directly equivalent. Township-only geographies are not ranked here. Brentwood NY ACS data is suppressed by Census; Vista Woods VA lacks a matched population. Fort Cavazos and Fort Gregg-Adams await boundary-equivalence checks with their former names. Their map records are preserved. Unmatched city labels do not mean their cameras are excluded from spatial counts.
Both Community Confirmed and 3rd Party / Unconfirmed records are included in all counts. Community Confirmed means at least one physical sighting was reported; it does not confirm the camera is currently operational. 3rd Party / Unconfirmed records are sourced from third-party data and have not yet been physically confirmed by a community member.
